"The No Longer Official... but Original.. "

444th Bomb Group (VHS)

  58th Bomb Wing

 20th Air Force

Many years ago in lands far away, young men took wing in birds of steel and sought out the enemies of their Homeland... America. Through the tropic night, the monsoon's gloom, over the misty mountains, across vast oceans they brought destruction to an arrogant foe who used terror and intimidation against the weak and the unaware. These young men would not be so easy to recognize today for time has passed and they are changed. Grey hair and, perhaps, slower of gait... yet the fire is still there... you can see it in their hearts and hear it in the words they speak.

This site is dedicated to the original 'association' of brave men living and dead that served the nation in a time of need at great peril to their lives and at great cost. May they live on in our memories as long as young men continue to ride on wings of steel defending right and freedom from the tyranny of lesser mortals.
